Massage & Wellness Disclaimer
At Inner Reliance Massage and Wellness, our work is rooted in supporting your health in mind, body, and spirit, through intentional, informed care. We want you to feel fully informed about what our services are, and what they are not.
Massage therapy is a wellness service, not a substitute for medical care. Our therapists are trained and, where applicable, licensed massage therapists. We are not physicians, chiropractors, physical therapists, or other licensed medical providers, and nothing provided during a session, whether verbal, written, or hands-on, constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Please keep the following in mind:
-
Our services are intended to support relaxation, stress relief, muscular tension relief, and general wellness. They are not designed to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
-
If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, are recovering from surgery or injury, or are managing a chronic illness, please consult your physician or healthcare provider before booking, and let us know at intake so we can adjust your session appropriately.
-
Some techniques we offer, including buccal (intraoral) massage and deeper therapeutic work, are not appropriate for everyone. We will always discuss your health history and comfort level before beginning a new technique.
-
If you experience pain, discomfort, dizziness, or any concerning symptoms during or after a session, please tell your therapist right away, and follow up with your healthcare provider if symptoms persist.
-
Information shared by our therapists about wellness, stretching, self-care, or lifestyle is offered as general guidance based on our training and experience. It is not a replacement for personalized medical advice.
-
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. Do not rely on our services or staff for emergency care.
By booking a session with Inner Reliance, you confirm that you have disclosed relevant health information to the best of your knowledge and understand that our services are complementary to, not a replacement for, medical care.
